Why your mindset matters.
Your mind is a force to be reckoned with.
What thoughts are you giving your energy to?
You’ve heard the about mindset before.
“Just change your mindset!”
“You’re not thinking about this the right way”
“You need to have a healthier mindset to…”
How do you know if your mindset is set up to help you move in the right direction?
Say you’re starting a brand new business, where you serve clients with your unique skill set. You have a clean roster and your goal is to fill it up with 10 clients in the first month.
You write up some emails, post on social media, and maybe even do a few Facebook lives.
Then you sit back and wait… and all you get are crickets.
You did the work, you knocked everything out on your checklist, and you devoured your business guru’s advice with the enthusiasm of a hungry puppy.
Then why, oh why did no one respond to you?
Here’s the thing I’ve come to learn and have seen in myself as well - Your mind can be in complete opposition to what you are doing in reality.
You did all the work, sent the emails, invited people to work with you, but…
In your mind you believed “no one wants to work with me”, and that’s the energy you carried into your actions.
When your mind believes it isn’t capable of earning $100k/year, all the obstacles will fall into place to keep you from earning that 100K/year.
When your mind believes that it can and will earn $100k/year, you’re sending the universe a message that you are indeed ready and willing to earn 100k/year.
It’s the same whether you’re trying to switch careers, get a raise, buy a new home, lose weight, exercise more often, find somebody to love… the list is endless.
So how do you even get your mind on board with the dreams you want to manifest?
You work on yourself:
You work through limiting beliefs.
You allow emotions to come up and out.
You scream to let out your frustrations.
You align with the thoughts and actions which support your dreams.
You keep doing the above over and over until the supporting thoughts take over your brain and your body, like an alien invasion.
Instead of allowing fear-based thoughts to control the outcome of your actions, you have to be open to allowing love-based thoughts to hijack your core operating system.
Now, you can go out there and buy a bunch of books, watch a whole lotta YouTube, and ask your sister, who, let’s face it, gives the worst advice.
Or you can work with someone who is unbiased and compassionate, and holds space for you as you battle with your antiquated thinking, and who can gently nudge you in the direction of adopting a healthier, more vibrant, and loving mindset.
How do I know this? Because I am the person who struggled with my own mindset as I started my business last year. I bounced between desperately wanting to grow my business and thinking that I wasn’t good enough yet.
After working with coaches, healing my past wounds, and reframing my thinking, I was able to come out of the frustration that existed in my mind alone.
