Starting over can be a lot of fun. Starting over can be intimidating. I spent over an hour designing my substack, especially after seeing all the new features they’ve added while I’ve been away.
I almost shut my laptop down, feeling a faux sense of accomplishment from just giving my publication a new name and a makeover.
4 years. It’s been 4 years since my last post on this platform.
I couldn’t see my pathway then. I spend most of my energy on Instagram and a little on Facebook. I even had an email newsletter that I sent out for a couple of years. I could never figure out my purpose for bring on Substack.
A few nights ago, it came to me.
All those things I think about, that I process throughout the day or at 2am. The things that are too much for Instagram and Facebook, because social media is noisy these days.
But so is the internet in general.
I said “fuck it”. I’m going to use Substack like my own personal journal, where I can let my thoughts out, unfiltered, with no sales or marketing plan.
This is it. I’ve begun.
Follow along, or not. The ball’s in your court now.
